SoftWave® Tissue Regeneration Technologies (TRT)
Joint Pain Relief: knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle, wrist and more
Soft Tissue Relief: ligaments, tendons, muscles and tissues
Chronic Pain Relief: Back, neck, nerves, discs, joints, old injuries and surgeries, etc
Invasive Treatment Alternative: surgery, drugs, stem cells, cortisone shots, etc
Acute Relief: wounds, numbness, aches and more
The patented extracorporeal shockwave therapeutic device is used to reach an injured area at the cellular level to stimulate your body’s natural healing process. TRT can activate connective tissue, improve blood supply, decrease inflammation and temporarily relieve pain while recruiting and activating resident stem cells to the area.
We are excited to bring Softwave TRT to the South Florida community!
With this technology, patients can avoid surgery as well as getting repeated cortisone shots. Another significant benefit is the therapy provides natural pain relief, so patients can avoid taking opiates or other painkillers.
The Primary Benefits
TRT has the ability to
- Increase blood supply
- Modulate and decrease inflammation
- Stimulate, activate and recruit resident stem cells
- Accelerate wound healing
- Repair, remodel and regenerate tissue
- Induce an antibacterial effect
- Reduce acute and chronic pain
What to Expect at Your First SoftWave® Appointment
Your first visit is a $75 introductory SoftWave session, also known as a Mapping Session.
During this appointment, Dr. Hastings will:
- Review your health history and the specific area of concern
- Perform a focused evaluation
- Deliver your first SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Therapy (TRT) treatment
The goal of the mapping session is to precisely identify where your body needs support so future sessions are targeted, efficient, and effective.
How SoftWave® Therapy Works
SoftWave® TRT uses a patented applicator that delivers high-energy acoustic waves deep into the tissue at the area of concern. During treatment, Dr. Hastings gently holds the applicator against your skin. These acoustic waves are electro-hydraulically generated sound waves that travel through tissue at up to 3,355 miles per hour, reaching areas traditional therapies often can’t. Rather than masking pain, SoftWave works at a cellular level.
The acoustic waves create a controlled mechanical stimulus that:
- Breaks up scar tissue and adhesions
- Reduces oxidative stress around damaged cells
- Improves blood flow
- Decreases inflammation and pain
This process “wakes up” the body’s natural healing response without damaging the tissue, essentially signaling the body to repair itself.
A Diagnostic Tool as Well as a Treatment
SoftWave TRT is also used as a diagnostic tool during your mapping session. When applied over healthy tissue, there is little to no discomfort. When applied over inflamed or injured tissue, you may feel temporary sensitivity. This feedback helps Dr. Hastings pinpoint the exact areas that need attention, ensuring your care plan is customized to your body—not guesswork.
- Fast Sessions. No Downtime.
- Treatment time: 5–10 minutes
- Non-invasive
- No anesthesia or numbing agents
- No downtime — most patients resume normal activities immediately
Patients often report noticeable improvements quickly, with long-lasting results.
Activating Your Body’s Natural Repair System
Research suggests that SoftWave TRT stimulates your body’s own stem cells within 45 minutes of treatment.
Stem cells act as the body’s repair system. Once activated, they:
- Attract additional healing and helper cells
- Support tissue regeneration
- Continue working for weeks after treatment
This healing response unfolds over time, with repair processes continuing for 8–12 weeks following a treatment series.
What Results Can You Expect?
While individual results vary, research and clinical experience show:
- 60–75% pain reduction is often seen after the third treatment
- Maximum stem cell activation typically occurs after 6–8 sessions
- Published success rates for musculoskeletal conditions range from 65–91%
After your mapping session, Dr. Hastings will determine if you’re a candidate and create a personalized Complete Recovery Plan designed for long-term relief—not temporary fixes.
